"Pan" Actualize and Assert

from $16.00

This essence is for you if:

  • you want to connect with your natural instincts.

  • Approach life with vigor and assertiveness.

  • Feel clarity on knowing and actualizing your desires.

Pan is portrayed as part goat and part human. He is a vigorous deity that helps us connect with our instinctual animal nature. He represents the sensual, visceral, untamed way we each carry. Pan moves forward in life without question as he knows what he innately desires in the physical. We all possess this ingrained hunger, which is natural, however it can become distorted if we try to repress it. If we are conscious of and embrace our libidinal, desiring nature, it can show up as creativity, vitality, pleasure and an embodied approach to fully living our life.

A Story

Pan: Pan popped into my head as I was gazing at the Apple Tree. The spring air was very fresh and warm. There was a slight breeze. A Junco bird flittered up to the tree catching my eye. "Are Junco part of this essence for Pan?" Without even finishing the thought, another Junco flew very close to me, turned, then landed on the branch directly in front of where I was standing. It began to peck around at the moss that was growing on the branches.  As I was observing that Junco, other Juncos began flying up to the tree and pecking at the Moss. Pretty soon there was a party of about seven or more Juncos enjoying the habitat that the tree offered. “What flowers should I use?” Witch hazel immediately popped into my head. (I contemplated where to find one as I did not have one growing in my garden.) Including Moss felt right. Soon, the supporting stones popped into my head: Malachite/Chrysocolla mix, Malachite, Selenite, Dumortierite. I started gathering them. I prepared the water and carried the bowl and stones back out to the apple tree. I figured out a way to set the bowl up on top of a girthy branch, so it was stable high up in the tree. I walked around the yard keenly feeling and observing the plants and other aspects of nature. I looked at the ground and saw a green jade stone lying right there in the grass. Immediately I placed it near the essence, as well as a red heart-shaped stone that I also noticed on the ground. Direct, clear actions popped into my head.  “Walk through, observe, take inventory of the garden.” So I did.

My sensory perception felt very clear, with significant ancient earth wisdom present. Strong clarity and a feeling of "time to get things done" permeated me. The urge to begin preparing the Earth for growth was strong. I also felt a reassuring confidence that the garden would be bountiful this year.  I heard hummingbirds singing and playing, and a baby crying. A stink bug caught my eye in the grass. Life was everywhere.

When I came inside and looked at my phone, the first thing I saw was a random notification about witch hazel. It was a strong reassurance that this needed to be in the essence. “Go for a walk.” I went for a walk around the neighborhood on a familiar route and discovered a witch hazel plant that I hadn’t ever seen before. It was clearly a gift. I gathered a few flowers from it and brought them home to add to Pan's essence.
