Sleeping Bag for your Treasures: Think of this as a magical container promoting energy alignment. This sleeve is crocheted with love (by me) from 100% merino sheep’s wool. A material that is known to carry high vibrational energy and therefore can be used as a cleansing, protective shield for what is placed in its care.
We use yarn that is made of 100% Uruguayan merino wool. It is a high-quality wool coming from “free-range in the hills sheep”, herded by old style shepherds that do NOT conduct mulesing practices. This yarn is purchased from a small family-owned company in Uruguay that dyes the yarn themselves with care.
Care: hand wash, lay flat to dry. Gentle care is best.
A Story I grew up on a farm in rural Michigan. I always loved lambs. I received my first lamb to care for when I was about 7 years old. I named her Snickers. She had a mottled face of brown and white. She was so sweet. I loved her so much. I continued to raise lambs as I grew but eventually stopped when I went to college, carrying this fluffy animal close to my heart.
Later, upon traveling to Scotland and Ireland, my heart was brought home as I spotted the white dots of sheep spanning the countryside.
While in Ireland, I stopped into one of the many wool stores there. Excitement filled me up as I took in the clean, uplifting feeling that surrounded me in the store. I thought it was because I love the sheep and the renewable resource that they provide to keep us warm. More recently I’ve been learning about the vibrational energy that textiles can carry and it all made sense. Lamb’s or sheep’s wool carries that high vibrational energy and is yet another gift from mother earth to wrap us in her care.
